The Branson Terry Music Awards is a heart driven organization that has deep compassionate roots. Terry Beene created the award show from his own unrecognized years in the music industry. Terry has worked with and played drums for many large names in country music, and has known the struggle and pains that a number of musicians go through and rarely get the recognition that they deserve. This reason was the driving force behind Terry creating the Terry Awards in 1978 in Ft. Worth Texas. In 2014, Terry moved the Terry Awards to Branson, Missouri, creating the Branson Terry Music Awards. It has since been incorporated as a nonprofit 501C3 organization. Terry wanted a way to not only recognize and give homage to well deserved, hardworking musicians, but also as a way to help the community, send kids to camp, give a hand up to those very musicians who have needed help with moving expenses, paying rent/payments, sending their child to camp or college, etc. Any contribution made to the Branson Terry Music Awards is a donation handled with the utmost love and care. Terry and his wife, Liz, have a deep rooted passion for loving and helping others.
